MetalPAT application granted by Interreg

PortASAP would like to congratulate Professor Christian Degrigny from the Haute Ecole Arc Conservation-restauration, Neuchâtel, Switzerland and Working Group Leader 3 (WG3: Fields Tests and Applications). Christian has been granted a 3 years project by Interreg. The project, called MetalPAT, aims to develop a non-invasive, fast, portable and open access application (MiCorr+) to assist in the diagnosis of heritage metals. (More here)

First PortASAP Meeting

The first COST "portASAP  - European network for the promotion of portable, affordable and simple analytical platforms" general meeting is taking place on March, 8-9, at the Axis Hotel, Porto with more than 70 participants from 30 different countries. This COST action is lead by LEPABE's Researcher Guillaume Erny and aims to promote the use of open source hardware as analytical tools and disseminate its use among general public.

STSM & Lecture by Dr. Petr Kubáň

Dr. Petr Kubáň from the Masaryk University, Brno was granted the first Short Term Scientific Mission of the COST PortASAP Action. In this scope he gave lectures about "Portable capillary electrophoresis instrumentation for point of care diagnostics: developments towards an open CE platform" at the Chemical Engineering department of the Faculty of Engieenring of the University of Porto (FEUP).
